saturday night’s all right for…

Posted on | October 25, 2009 | 1 Comment

Well I haven’t had a post in a few days so here we go. It’s Saturday night and the fucking Yankees game is rained out. What the fuck am I going to do with all this beer? And all the energy I was going to spend cursing their souls and rooting for them to be humiliated and shamed?

Well I can tell you about what I’ve been up to. First, huge news, I finally got around to organizing my old mp3s. I put an album of them up on last.fm and you can download it for free. You don’t even have to be a member or anything! Just click that link there or click the blue button over in the next column.

If you have an album I put out called War’s End, this is basically the same one except I added three songs and pulled one from the original. This is how it’s going to stay. Joe Yoga! The Dreamless Sea! DOWNLOAD IT FOR FREE!!!

In other yoga music news, I recorded three, that’s right, fuckin count em, three new songs this weekend. I’m maybe halfway to having an album of BRAND NEW material. The album is going to be called Life Out East. Hoping to have it done done by April. So watch this space for updates.

I also have a new video! Are You Tired of Me My Darling? This was performed at Penny’s a week or two ago. This was written by Cook and Roland in 1877 (!) and popularized by the Carter Family. The version I do is based off of the band Ida’s version (on the WFMU ‘More Music, Less Parking’ compilation you can get on their website. The verse chords are just G, C, D-C-G and the chorus is C-G-C-Am… well that’s how I play it anyway. Here’s the video! I can only upload them as mp4s because, fuckin, when i save them as .dv files they’re like 1 gig and take two hours to upload and inevitably my internet will spaz once and kill the whole thing. Anyone has a way around this I’d be grateful.

That’s about it. I’ll tell you more about what’s coming up, especially SCRATCH, on Monday. In the meantime, if anyone has experience with donation sites, like PayPal, and can recommend one, I’d like to hear about your experience with that.

Go Angels.
