The Boardlords are bringing a bus of Connecticut’s most crazed punk rock fans to meld with the East Village’s most depraved citizens. This a free show. There will be a surprise performance after the Boardlords have had their way with the stage.

The Boardlords have been recording and performing for the past 8 years up and down the East and West Coast, at such venues as 2002 Summer X-Games in Philadelphia, Skatopia in Ohio, The U.S. Open of Snowboarding at Stratton, VT, and a brief tour of Northern and Southern California and Heavenly, Nevada as well. We have played at both the Winter X-Games back when it was at Mt. Snow in VT, and the summer , we also have played locally at CBGB’s, The Continental, Arlene’s Grocery and Trash Bar, as well as at The Westchester County Roller Girls season opener for 2008.

The Boardlords have performed with such acts as: Agent Orange, DI, McRAD, Big World, Gang Green, 76% Uncertain, Killing Time, Skatanic Rednecks, Valient Thor, and Sub-Zero to Name a Few.

Their 3 full length albums titled: “The Boardlords” “Ride Again” and “Wax Museum” have been licensed to MTV2 “HeadBanger’s Ball” and “Rob & Big” as well as Fusion TV.

The show is Thursday night at 10:30 pm at Under St. Mark’s Theater, in the heart of the East Village. And like last month, is FREE! (John must be in the holiday spirit!) There is also a free drink, of sorts, involved. I recommend it, but I’m badass. But come on down to the show! If facebook invites are comfortable and familiar, check out ours here. We had a great turnout at the last show and are pumped for this one. Fairly cool news on the promo front… Brent Lengel’s interview with John Murdock (your host) is live and you can check it out here. Here’s a choice quote: “Screw the meek, and screw anyone who tells you to be meek. The meek are sheep, and sheep get fleeced.” And here’s another one, which to me sums up John and the Chicken’s message:

“This is really the first age when people really have the freedom to question religion. For years Christianity has been enforced by war, it’s been enforced by suppression, it’s been enforced by brainwashing children, it’s been enforced by the threat of hell… the arguments can be made now, and should.”

The incredible music and musings of Mike Milazzo shall lace the evening! Joe Yoga will give you a delicious taste of Scratch, an exposition on the dull and sharp pains of betrayal, a meditation on loss and abandonment. Marsha Brown and Natalie Underwood share scenes from their upcoming play, Pizza Man, Directed by Toni Johnson, A comedy in two acts. Penny Pollak gives a slice of her upcoming one woman show, No Traveler which explores many questions, through one woman’s darkly funny journey through space, time and life’s most pivotal moment of desperation. Killer Kelly Dwyer shall explode all conceptions of comedy.
